At this Norwich property we replaced the old, end-of-life consumer unit with a brand-new FuseBox board, mounted neatly in its existing weatherproof enclosure. The new unit is fully RCBO/MCB protected with a clearly labelled main switch, giving the homeowner modern, fault-tolerant circuit protection that meets the latest 18th Edition wiring regulations.
Every circuit was tested and the installation certified, with our periodic-inspection label fitted to the board recording the inspection date and the recommended date for the next check. We also checked the incoming supply, meter and main earthing arrangements to make sure the whole installation is safe up to the cut-out.
While on site we tidied up the supply to the garage, fitting a clean surface-run conduit feed to a new LED batten light and switch, turning a previously dim space into a properly lit, usable workshop and storage area, with power and lighting also extended around a covered side area. As an NICEIC-approved contractor, all work was fully tested, certified and left clean and tidy.
