We replaced the property’s old fuse board with a brand-new FuseBox consumer unit, fitted directly above the existing meter and main earthing arrangement. The new board is fully populated with modern circuit protection, including RCD/RCBO protection and a clearly labelled set of circuits covering the cooker, sockets, lighting, smoke and heat alarms and other dedicated supplies.
The installation included upgrading the main protective bonding and tidying the supply tails and earth connections at the meter position, bringing the intake fully up to current standards. Each way on the new unit is individually labelled so the homeowner can quickly identify and isolate any circuit.
Alongside the fuse board upgrade, we supplied and fitted Aico mains-interlinked heat and smoke alarms with the SmartLINK wireless module, providing whole-property interlinked detection for added safety. As an NICEIC-approved, fully certified contractor, all work was tested and certified to BS 7671 and finished to our usual neat, professional standard.
