A full domestic rewire in progress in a Norwich home, with new circuits run back to a freshly installed metal-clad consumer unit. The new board carries a full bank of individually protected MCBs and RCBOs, with the new cables bundled neatly and run up through a chased chimney breast ready for making good.
Throughout the property we fitted new accessories — double sockets, switched fused spurs and light switches — with cable chases cut cleanly and back-boxes set ready for plastering. A surface mini-trunking drop was used on the stairwell where chasing wasn’t practical, keeping the run tidy and accessible, and finished switch plates included smart brushed-steel finishes to suit the rooms.
Rewires are disruptive by nature, so we work methodically to keep the home safe and usable as the job progresses, testing every circuit before energising. All work is carried out to current BS 7671 wiring regulations and certified by our NICEIC-approved electricians, with neat workmanship from first fix to final test.
