A complete rewire and consumer unit replacement carried out for a homeowner in Norwich. At the heart of the job is a new FuseBox F3011MZ board with a separate RCBO on every circuit, individually labelled for the cooker, sockets, water heater, central heating, smoke alarm and lighting. Per-circuit protection like this means a fault on one circuit won’t trip out the rest of the house, and it brings the installation fully up to current 18th Edition standards.
The property was re-cabled throughout. New socket outlets were installed at multiple heights to suit modern furniture and appliances, with fresh wiring chased into the walls and plastered in ready for redecoration. New lighting was fitted across the home, including a clean LED batten in the kitchen and a ceiling light with integrated extraction in the bathroom, alongside new ceiling roses elsewhere.
We also upgraded the incoming arrangements at the external meter box, fitting a new 100A main switch and Henley block connections so the supply into the property is safe and properly distributed. Every circuit was tested and the installation certified, with our periodic-inspection label fitted to the new board. As an NICEIC-approved contractor, the work was completed to a high standard and left clean, safe and fully documented.
