As part of a full kitchen refurbishment, we carried out the electrical first and second fix and upgraded the property’s protection. A new metal-clad consumer unit was fitted alongside the existing meter and main switch arrangement, complete with RCBO/RCD protection, clearly labelled circuits and a proper main earthing and bonding terminal block neatly dressed onto a fresh backboard.
In the kitchen itself we installed new accessories throughout: double sockets above the worktop, switched fused spurs and appliance outlets behind the units, and a run of recessed LED plinth downlights to wash the floor with light. A pendant ceiling point and a new cooker-hood feed were also provided, ready for the dark shaker units and marble-effect worktops going in.
Every circuit was tested, certified and labelled, with a periodic-inspection notice completed and dated showing the date of last inspection and the recommended re-test date. As an NICEIC-approved contractor, all work is fully certified to BS 7671 and finished to a tidy, professional standard — a safe, modern installation that brings the kitchen’s wiring and fuse board fully up to current standards.
